## Languages
### What is Fairmarket's default language?
- English is the main language and default language of the platform. Please add your information in english and then add translations as appropriate. If you don't speak english just let us know and we can provide a quick translation of your shop information.
### Can I see Fairmarket in my language?
- In the backend (the management area, not the website), when you login you will see at the top right a menu with your username. Clicking on "Preferences" within that menu will open a window where you can change the language for your user.

### Can I have my products / store in several languages?
- When you edit your products or store you will see that each text field has a blue flag inside. Clicking on that flag will give you access to a window where you can manage translations into other languages for that field.
- Fairmarket is shown to each user according to the language preferences of their browser, the software is responsible for supplying the translations for that language automatically. If no translation is found for a language, it will be displayed in English.
#### After updating text fields of my products / store, they are not updated on the web
### After updating text fields of my products / store, they are not updated on the web
- The first time you create a product, the translations for that field are created with the same content as the original. That's why we recommend that the first texts you enter are in English, so if you do not provide translations for all languages you will at least see it in English.
- When you edit the product or store, you are editing the translation to your user's language, for example if it is Spanish, only users who browse in Spanish will see the update, users who browse in English or in other languages will continue to see the old content . Make sure to update the translations too.

## Store management
### I can not upload products / Configure my store / Error XMLHttpRequest
- If you recieve an XMLHttpRequest error it could be due to a bad connection or because the image you are trying to upload is too big. If so, try to reduce its size. 500x500 images are enough for FairMarket, larger images consume more resources.

#### Product variants / Sizes / Same product different sizes
### Product variants / Sizes / Same product different sizes
- You do not need to create the same product several times, you can create a product with variants, even with different price per variant. In the product file will show the user a menu to choose the variant that wants the price will be automatically adjusted in the cart.
- First create the base product as you would create a normal product. Fix the price to the smallest amount.
- Inside the product file in edit mode go to the "Variants" tab and in the list click on "Add an item". You will have to add as many elements as you want to have variable attributes (for example, Size and Color).
- Then in the column "Value of the product attribute" you will have to create all the options that you need for that attribute (For example, XS, S, L, XL).

### I do not see my products on the web / My products come out at the end and shaded in gray

- You have to publish your products, they are in a preview mode so you can see if they are good before launching them publicly. In this mode only users who have a store in FairMarket can see your products, it is also a way to offer products or offers only to members of the Market.
- To publish a product, go to the tab for that product, tab "Sales": You will see a button with the caption "Not Published". Clicking on that button changes the status of the product. Make sure you define the appropriate public category for your product on the same tab.

### How do I manage shipping costs?
- Creating a shipping method is a very powerful way to manage shipping costs, but it can be a bit confusing. The expenses will be automatically added to the customer's cart and adjusted according to the shipping address of the customer and the variable parameters you have defined (weight, volume, quantity, prices, ...).
- Inside "Your Store" under the submenu "Project Configuration" click on "Shipping methods". Click on the "Create" button. If you only have a fixed rate, fill in the form with the data and save.

### I only sell products locally / regionally / state
- You can make a fix if you only define a shipping method to your city / province / state. The products will be visible to everyone, but they can only be purchased by customers with delivery address in the area you have defined in the shipping method. We recommend that you specify in the description of your product which scope is available.

- In the list of tasks to be done, we have aimed at creating a field for this specific case, so that in the future these products and services can be filtered. We hope to have it in the next months.

### The prices of my products change only!
- In FairMarket we follow the agreed exchange rate accepted in FairCoop (in October 2017 it was 0.6 EUR to 1 FAIR) and we adjust the prices of the products, variants and shipping methods when the assembly decides the change (remember that this change will always be upwards as the amount of faircoin in the world is finite by design).
- Although we try to make the update accurate, it may fail for some items. Please check the prices of your store after a price update occurs.

### I have my product data from another website. Can I import it automatically?
- Yes, you have to pass to the admin (market at market.fair.coop) a file in CSV format with the following fields:
_Name, URL of the image, public category, price, description_
- We will import it manually as "Not published". You can then review them before publishing them in case any field has failed.

#### Internal category, Public category, what are they?

### Internal category, Public category, what are they?
- The internal category is used in Odoo for accounting, in FairMarket we do not use this functionality and it does not have any application. Public category is the way to filter and order products on the web, ensure that your products are in the appropriate public category. You can define several public categories for the same product if you think it fits into them.

#### What do the "Can you sell" "Can you buy" fields mean?
### What do the "Can you sell" "Can you buy" fields mean?
- Can be sold, indicates that the product is available for sale in the store. It is the normal state of a product, although it can be removed if you have stayed if stocks and you expect to receive more, or if you go on vacation ...
- Can be purchased, indicates that the product is available for Collective Purchases. You should be able to supply large quantities of this product and coordinate with the Collective Purchasing Network and the local FairCoop nodes to organize a Collective Purchase.

As members of faircoop we are all able to collaborate to see how to meet demand and supply using economies of scale and organising our own distribution. So far we have collaborated to distribute fairpay cards and fairtrade coffee across the network. Join a telegram chat to see how we can organise one for your area of work or project.

- Create the product that best defines your needs and publish it with the internal category "Demands" and FairCoins zero price. Your product will appear in the Demands section on the web and will not appear in the normal store. Someone interested in the demand can complete the order normally and get in touch with you.

## Payments
### The address that appears on the payment screen is not mine!
- In FairMarket we use a temporary portfolio to detect payments, once we have confirmed the payment we retransmit to your address the transaction. The process can take up to 10 minutes, get in touch with the admins if you have not received a payment.

### I have sent the amount of FairCoin required, but the sale is not confirmed
- Sometimes the automatic payment method fails, please contact the administrators to resolve the situation manually. The FairCoin are safe in the market portfolio, do not worry about losing them.
- You may not have sent the amount of FairCoin needed: You have to send the required amount plus the network fee, if you send the right amount without including the network fee, less quantity will arrive and the purchase will not be confirmed.
- Some portfolios, such as OCP, discount the network rate to the amount entered. You have to add the network transfer rate (0.01 in OCP) to the total amount to send for the purchase to be confirmed.
#### I have a confirmed order, but I have not received the corresponding FairCoins

### I have a confirmed order, but I have not received the corresponding FairCoins
- Make sure you have entered your FairCoin address correctly in the configuration tab of your store. Check that the address is correct, has no spaces at the beginning or end and corresponds to an address belonging to your portfolio. Contact the admins to manually retransmit the address.

### Budget, sales order, what do they mean?
- Budget: A customer has made the purchase process completely, but has not completed the payment. It may be a test, or you may not be clear about the method of payment, the shipping method or some characteristic of the product. You can contact him if you want.
- Sales order: When we confirm the payment of a quote, it becomes a sales order, which is the equivalent of a firm order.
- Change of commercial, notifications, ...: They are internal notifications that can be ignored, we try to reduce these emails, but they work with the logic of Odoo and it is complicated to eliminate them completely.

#### Can I have an alias so that my email address is not published on the web?
### Can I have an alias so that my email address is not published on the web?
- You can request the admins an email alias type name of project@market.fair.coop and put it in the configuration of your store. This will only show this alias that redirects all mail to your user address.

- Yes, with the Email Template field. You can create an email that will be sent every time a payment is confirmed. In that email you can include a download link or instructions to access a download. You can also include attachments, but the email is not suitable for transmitting large files, although if it is a few kilobytes it is possible.
