faircloud uses nextcloud's built in versioning mechanism. So any file which is updated via a sync client or from the web browser creates a previous version which can be accessed via the
If you (or anybody else who has access to the shared data or is syncing them) deletes files or folders they go to the trashbin (on the bottom left). We automatically delete files in trashbins after 180 days, and may delete sooner if disc space does eventually run low (we have plenty).
We usually create data and database snapshots before we do any upgrades of nextcloud.
Storage runs on RAID6 which tolerates the failure even of multiple hard discs. Please note that you are responsible for your data and there is no guarantee from fairkom against potential loss of data.
The data is backed up 3 times a week to another server at another hosting center. Hopefully you and we never need that, as you should have a copy of your data on all your synced clients or in the trashbin. Recovering folders from the fairkom backup requires manual interaction (2-4 hours).
