[`Chromium`](https://chromium.woolyss.com/download/) (open source and secure) or `Chrome` (closed source and tracks data to Google) work best, as they support P2P Multicast and save bandwidth for everybody and CPU load on the fairmeeting servers. Also a latest `Edge` browser works fine (as it got a Chrome engine embedded end of 2019). `Firefox` also works again well ([FF 84+85 may have caused dropouts](https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/issues/4758#issuecomment-604463127) and FF 117 had bandwidth estimation issues). `Safari` users would have to disable the “WebRTC Unified Plan” feature in the developer settings to be able to join.

Sure. Simply create a URL like `https://fairmeeting.net/myroomname` and you can use that room whenever you need it. Share the link as a location for the next meeting. Be the first who enters the room - then you get granted moderator rights and you could mute others.

Yes. fairmeeting uses the WebRTC standard, which has [encryption built in](https://jitsi.org/security). Choose a room name, nobody else can guess, unless you want visitors by chance . You can also lock a room by setting a password (and pressing return) after all participants joined.

In addition, you can enable E2EE in the Security Settings, so that Jitsi uses two layers of encryption ([source](https://community.jitsi.org/t/why-do-we-need-to-use-srtp-when-e2ee-is-enabled/127532)). This only works if all participants use a browser that supports insertable streams (Chromium based like Edge, Chrome). What happens technically?

This way, when the JVB decrypts the DTLS-SRTP payload, it has access to the required metadata to properly route the packet, while not having access to the actual media content. With E2EE enabled each participant has a key pair to encrypt and decrypt SRTP packets sending to and receiving from JVB.
