Feedback from Real translators: SMALL interface changes, that could make THE difference
Dear All, we had a long session with real interpreters and they gave us a very precise feedback on the interface and everything - and I think, if we follow their thoughts, this can become the best interpretation implementation ever.
- ORIGINAL is not the right word. For Interpreters it is "FLOOR"
- OUTPUT: Translators should not find the FLOOR as a translation language in the output. Too many errors can happen. In the translation output, there should be only the languages - and maybe NONE.
- MOST IMPORTANT FEEDBACK: Translators need to switch the OUTPUT on - so the translation mice ON not OFF. So it should be deactivated in the beginning.
- The process is "INPUT" -> "OUTPUT" -> "MIC" - and the interface is usually : INPUT MIC OUTPUT (but currently in BBB it is just the other way round)
- Interpreters do not need a camera, nor FLOOR MIC (this is more difficult and maybe second Prio)
