During the alpha, the platform was set up and tested for bugs. It did not include checkout but allowed people to start uploading products, making contacts and get started with the platform. Since then, we have been in Beta. The market is open for trading and you can buy and sell your products and services using FairCoin.

Some new features have been added since then, like the ability for collective purchases which is our latest development and has enhanced a lot the long distance orders. Distribution (shipping) requires some extra setup, and relies on existing distribution networks as we conceive and plan our own alternative distribution systems. Many other features are still lacking, but we are planning to move to a new version of Odoo, the underlying software that powers FairMarket, which is a job which will require an update of all the modules our team have written for it. Meanwhile we continue to release new versions, and have a plan for a 0.9 release before a full site relaunch, with this fabled new Odoo version.
